Marucci outfits the bat with AZR alloy that will go through a 3-stage thermal treatment process. The end result of that process is a BBCOR bat that has a better feel, more forgiveness and more performance. In addition to that alloy material, they also put a Longitudinal Groove System (LGS) within the barrel of the bat. That LGS technology should lighten up the feel of the and allow for more bat flexibility when contacting a baseball. And don’t forget about the AV2 Anti-Vibration knob. Marucci’s knob technology ushered in the era of 1-piece bats that don’t sting a player’s hands. This bat will be undeniably comfortable due to the presence of that anti-vibration knob.
A big thing to note is going to be the overall feel. Most players will probably find the bat to be fairly balanced. However, there will be some players that do sense a bit of an end-load to the bat.
